  • Where are your shelters and mini-homes manufactured?
    Dignity Designed and Delivered shelters are manufactured using high-quality product components sourced from various locations, including the USA, UAE, China, and Africa. Our shelters are designed and constructed to adhere to Sphere Humanitarian Standards at a minimum, ensuring that they meet the essential needs of the individuals and communities they serve. By leveraging international expertise and resources, we strive to provide durable, safe, and dignified shelter solutions that significantly contribute to improving the lives of those in need.
  • Can I purchase a single shelter for a family?
    Dignity Designed and Delivered shelters are primarily procured by the United Nations and various humanitarian organizations to address the needs of displaced populations and crisis-affected communities. However, we also cater to individual clients who are interested in purchasing single units. Our shelters can be shipped to a wide range of locations, including the US, EU, Middle East, Africa, and Asia, ensuring that our durable and sustainable shelter solutions are accessible to a diverse array of customers seeking reliable and high-quality housing options.
  • How long does it take to assemble and erect a standard Dignity Shelter?
    Dignity Designed and Delivered shelters have been thoughtfully engineered to facilitate a quick and efficient assembly process. Typically, two individuals can assemble and erect a shelter in approximately 2 hours, ensuring that the housing solution can be deployed rapidly in times of need. Similarly, disassembly of the shelter is just as convenient, taking around 2 hours for two people to complete. This ease of assembly and disassembly not only enables swift deployment but also simplifies the relocation process when required.

  • Who designed the Dignity Shelter?
    Dignity Designed and Delivered shelters are the result of a collaborative design process led by the award-winning Nottingham Spirk design innovation team based in Cleveland, Ohio. Working closely with the leadership of Geopolicity Inc, the joint efforts ensured that the shelter design was carefully crafted to address the unique needs and challenges faced by displaced populations and crisis-affected communities. This partnership combined the expertise of Nottingham Spirk's innovative design capabilities with Geopolicity Inc's strategic insights, ultimately creating a durable, sustainable, and dignified shelter solution that makes a tangible difference in the lives of those it serves.
  • Does the shelter have commercial applications beyond the humanitarian community?
    As a social enterprise, Dignity Designed and Delivered shelters is committed to serving both non-profit and commercial applications. Our primary goal is to make a positive impact on the lives of displaced and crisis-affected communities while maintaining financial sustainability. However, profits generated from our commercial uses such as temporary shelters for building sites, art shows, industrial road shows and other uses cases are reinvested into the business to finance and expand our operations, allowing us to reach more people in need. In line with our mission, we have set an ambitious internal campaign targeting the provision of housing for 1 million people. By funneling commercial profits back into our organization, we aim to achieve this goal while staying true to our social impact objectives.
  • What are the shipping costs for small and large orders?
    The cost of shipping will be quoted to you once you have raised an inquiry with our sales team, who will review our stock inventory and provide a competitive quote reflective of the urgency of delivery. Shipping will cover road, sea, rail and air, or a combination therefore.
  • Can the basic shelter be upgraded to include energy, water and sanitation solutions?
    Dignity Designed and Delivered shelters offer the flexibility to be upgraded with various bundled product solutions to enhance the living experience of their occupants. These upgrades can include power for phone charging, water and sanitation facilities, internal divisions for privacy, utilization of the Dutch door to create a shopfront, and other customizations available upon request. These additional products and utilities are provided either directly by Dignity Designed and Delivered or through our trusted network of service providers. By offering these tailored solutions, we aim to cater to the specific needs and preferences of our customers, ensuring that our shelters are not only practical but also comfortable and adaptable to various requirements.
  • Do you have as flooring solution?
    Dignity Designed and Delivered shelters feature an innovative flooring solution that effectively transforms any substrate into a concrete-like finish, providing a clean and dust-free surface. This unique flooring technology not only enhances the overall living experience within the shelter but also ensures a more hygienic and comfortable environment. By addressing common challenges associated with traditional flooring options in emergency and transitional shelters, we remain committed to offering high-quality and practical solutions that prioritize the well-being of our shelter occupants.
  • Can the color of the outside be modified to meet customer needs?
    Yes. Depending on the size of the order the external color of the sandwich panels walls and roof hub structure can be adjusted to need.
  • What are the Shelter walls made from?
    The walls have been specially designed as non-industry standard sandwich panel walls with a patented interlocking walling system, providing considerable structural stability and resistance against the elements. In addition, the durable design can be disassembled, stored and reassembled; with the high quality engineered parts providing 5-10 years of durability, perhaps longer, depending on the nature of the environment installed.
  • Can the design be used to create modular communities?
    Our Dignity Designed and Delivered shelters are designed with modularity in mind, allowing them to be arranged in various configurations to create cohesive communities. Shelters can be set up as standalone units, in groups of three or six with a shared central security area, or in any other modular arrangement to suit specific needs. Additionally, for every 500 units deployed, one can be equipped as a primary health post, providing essential healthcare services to the community. Furthermore, our shelters can be adapted for educational purposes, serving as small classrooms capable of accommodating up to 20 children. This flexible design approach ensures that our shelters can effectively address diverse requirements, fostering safe and functional living environments for displaced populations and crisis-affected communities.
