Personally Identifiable Information Collected By Dignity Inc.

Our Commitment to Data Security

Personally identifiable information is stored on a vetted third-party vendors’ servers and is not publicly accessible. Further, personally identifiable information is only accessed by Dignity Inc. authorized personnel on a "need to know" basis. To prevent unauthorized access, maintain data accuracy, and ensure the appropriate use of information, we have put in place appropriate physical, electronic, and managerial procedures to safeguard and secure the information we collect online. Additionally, sensitive data such as credit card numbers are encrypted using SSL and other industry standard measures, to provide an additional level of security.

Anonymous Information Collected by Dignity Inc.

Anonymous information is automatically collected for every donor and visitor to our websites. This includes pages viewed, date and time, browser type, age, gender, language, country, and city. This information is stored in order to track what demographic of people are visiting our websites, as well as, the effectiveness of our websites, individual sections, and pages within them. IP numbers are not stored, but are temporarily used to determine domain type and in some cases, geographic region. We do not make any association between this information and a donor or visitor's identity.

How the Dignity Inc. Website Uses Cookies

As with most other Internet sites, our web servers utilize “cookies” to track a user’s activity within our websites as well as record the IP address of each visitor to our websites. A cookie is a small data file that is stored on your computer. A cookie contains a unique identifying feature that allows our servers to recognize you when you return to the Dignity Inc. website. Dignity Inc. and third-party vendors, including Google, use first-party cookies (such as the Google Analytics cookie), and third-party cookies (such as the DoubleClick cookie) together to inform, optimize, and serve ads based on someone’s past visits to Dignity Inc's website.
